CHRISTMAS IN BRIGHTON

SPEND THE FESTIVE SEASON WITH US

Spending Christmas in Brighton is one of the most wholesome, inviting times of the year. If you’re looking for things to do this festive season, we’ve got a few suggestions for you.

From the 26th November to the end of December, Brighton Christmas Festival and Market is being held just a few minutes’ walk from us at Valley Gardens! The event will consist of over 150 festive stalls, live shows and of course, a Santa’s Workshop for the young ones.

The Royal Pavilion Ice Rink returns this year! Go for a twirl on the ice under the glittering lights of the Royal Pavilion. If you’d rather just sit and watch, you can do so with a mulled wine and warming snacks in the Rinkside Bar & Kitchen.

Brighton’s North Laine is the perfect spot for getting your Christmas shopping done. The bohemian boutique stores offer a variety of completely unique gifts, whilst supporting local businesses. Even if you’re not looking to shop, the twinkling Christmas lights are still worth a visit.

If you’re looking for something a little creative, Between Two Thorns are running Christmas Wreath Making workshops, and One Garden are hosting Christmas Candle Table Arrangement workshops. Maybe this will be the year you finally decide to make your own gifts. Brighton Cookery School will also be running a range of sessions including Christmas canape making, and a class on how to create the ultimate Christmas feast. You’ll really impress your loved ones if you’re having to cook this year.

If you missed going to concerts and taking a trip to the theatre last year, there are a whole host events coming back to the city this year. Brighton Dome will be hosting the Brighton Festival Chorus Christmas Concert on the 12th December, the perfect way to gather your friends or family and sing along to your favourite carols. They will also be welcoming back The Choir with No Name, an organisation for the homeless, for The Big Christmas Gathering. All profits and donations will be going to the charity.

The Brighton Centre will host Michael Ball and Alfie Boe as they tour the UK performing songs packed with holiday cheer from their new festive album. Just a few minutes walk from My Brighton, you’ll find The Theatre Royal who also have an exciting programme of festive events. New to the city this year will be the production, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

For something a little further out, hop in the card and head to Glow Wild at Wakehurst, a completely magical experience. The enchanting trail of flowing lanterns bring the garden to life alongside mesmerising projections and immersive soundscapes.
