The Living Room

Perhaps Sir David Attenborough put it best when he said “Plants capture energy from the sun, and all life on land, so ultimately plants fuel the diversity of life on earth”.

Our centrepiece conservatory has grown and come to life at My Chelsea. The beating heart of our hotel, aptly named The Living Room, is now open.

Designed in partnership with Design Haus Liberty, the mixture of plush velvet chairs offset the worn leather and chesterfield banquettes to create a warm and inviting garden sanctuary. Flooded with natural light, the patio doors open onto a snug-like terrace, featuring beautiful timber benches and a contemporary outdoor fire place. Come the evening, the atmosphere effortlessly shifts, becoming a discreet and intimate Chelsea haunt for those in the know. Ensconced by the building’s period architecture, The Living Room is the perfect place to catch a moment or make one.

In this sprawling conservatory space we serve a range of treats from our close partners, including the finest blends from Workshop Coffee & Jing tea. Also available throughout the day, and courtesy of Tanya’s grab and go menu, are perfectly packaged treats from juices, to tasty adventure bowls and other delicious bars and desserts. The Living Room serves a continental buffet breakfast from 7am to 10am Monday to Friday and 8am to 10am at weekends, for both guests and locals. Throughout the day homemade sausage rolls, pastries, sandwiches and soups, as well other light bites, are made fresh and available every day.

Our selection of best loved wines such as the Organic Cote du Rhone St Jacques from France and Sangiovese Fico Grande from Italy all come courtesy of our neighbours Bibendum. In addition, we’ve worked closely with Pontoon Cocktails to present a specially crafted list of drinks, including our signature British Mojito and the refreshing Grapefruit Margarita.

Inspired by the organic beauty of nature, The Living Room humbly presents the splendour of plant life as their place in the world affecting every other living thing, is something we value greatly.  But perhaps Sir David Attenborough put it best when he said “Plants capture energy from the sun, and all life on land, so ultimately plants fuel the diversity of life on earth”.

The Living Room is a new addition to the Chelsea neighbourhood for locals and visitors alike, because we believe that nature is amongst life’s last true luxuries.

Inspired by the neighbourhood’s famous gardens and an homage to plant life, Tanya Maher (Tanya’s, Better Raw) and The Living Room at MY CHELSEA have gotten together to create an Afternoon Tea that takes you from the devilish to the purely delectable. ‘In the Wild’ brings the best of raw living food and comfort food to tea. From unique takes on traditional favourites, such as gluten free coconut cream and goji jam scones and raspberry drizzle vegan doughnuts to the heavenly seaweed slaw or avocado cream and sprouts sandwiches with alkalising cucumber rolls. Whether it’s a picnic, quick lunch or a quick clean bite Tanya’s is the ideal solution to better eating and healthier living. In addition, Tanya’s famous whole cakes are now available in-store without pre-order.

Tanya’s is the refreshingly simple grab and go offering from Tanya Maher, open from 7am until 11pm every day.

About Tanya’s

Tanya’s combines more than five years in London and an unwavering passion for spreading the message of ultimate health.  Tanya Maher made a global mark as a detox and raw food expert and hailed by the media as the UK’s top holistic coach.

Tanya’s weekly ritual consisted of blogging on Better Raw, facilitating meditation retreats in the UK and Ecuador and running raw food workshops around London. She also writes recipe eBooks, speaks at some of UK’s most prestigious events and collaborates on menu development with various living food brands.

At My Chelsea, Tanya’s initially ran  SupperClubs called Raw in Chelsea. These evenings attracted attendees from all across Europe and sold out within days.

Taking this forward, Tanya already knew she wanted to offer cold pressed juices and nut milk coffees for breakfast, artisan living dishes for lunch and superfood cocktails after four, but we hadn’t come up with a name for the restaurant. Her story goes, “So I began asking everyone to write down name suggestions in their SupperClub, Workshop and Retreat feedback forms. Without offering any ideas myself, the majority wrote this… ‘Tanya’s’.

Tanya’s was born. And now, in 2017, the newest incarnation of Tanya’s continues with our new space in the renovated ground floor of My Chelsea. We look forward to welcoming you.”
